GMRT – India can do it

Like many fellow Indians, I also know that we are working on the cutting edge of technology, but once in a while, it is nice to actually see proof of that – National Geographic is running a series called “Science Safari”, which highlighted the “Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope” in Pune. It is a facility built for radio astronomical research, and has about 30 gigantic parabolic dishes over a distance of 25 km.

I strongly believe that we Indians can achieve many things as we have done in our ancient past, and that our scientists are next to none in the world.

Dr. Jaiprakash Narain, of Lok Satta right quoted that, India as a country, can move forward and achieve great things, but the politicians and their petty politics is holding it back.
